If Master is already installed, you cannot promote a media server and demote a Master.
Has your Master server already been used for backups or is it a new install and you want to now move it?
If you have a media server that you want to become a Master server in it's own NetBackup domain, you can do this, deinstall the software and re-install it.

Or change correct a Master server if the master server is already installed?

Please explain this question?
'change correct a Master server if the master server is already installed?'
As per revaroo's excellent post - a media server cannot be upgraded or promoted to media server.
Catalog migration/manupulation is a complex procedure that only be executed by trained consulting partners.
Maybe we can provide better assistance if we understand the reason for your questions?

Well i have a server that is suppose to be a master, it looks like it has the master stuff installed but when i connect to it, it thinks its a Media Server.
after looking into it more, im thinking of changing the bp.conf file. its a DR master, it has access to all the same networks as the main master server but its on a sperate domain.

The question here is: was it installed as media server or master server?
Media server will have all the correct binaries, but EMM database would not be created as part of the installation.
It is not as easy as changing bp.conf. if you have good enough knowledge of NBU, you can check for existence of relational db's, change bp.conf and run install-bp.
It might be a lot easier to remove software and re-install.
Also remember that DR-master needs to have the same hostname as production master. It is quite possible that DR master was set up and installed and hostname subsequently changed to something else because the two are on the same network.
if your production master is 7.5 and this one 7.1, it will be easiest to remove and re-install as master - bearing in mind that the hostname and installation path must match.
