VM backup fail in Netbackup 7

Hi All Need help on this issue, recently we upgraded Netbackup from 6.5.5 to 7, after that the VM backup failed if the option is "Full VM bakcup" or "Mapped Full VM backup", however the old style VCB backup was ok (Full backup with file level incremental VCB). My VC is Vsphere, ESXs are 4.0.0 208167. Below is the bpfis log related, anyone has any idea? Is there anything i need to do in my ESX servers? I found nothing related to the error message. VC and Master server reside in the same server, Windows 2003 Std 64 bit. 14:29:24.681 [8232.8196] <2> onlfi_vfms_logf: INF - vmwareLogger: GetNicList: SYM_VMC_ERROR: FAILED_TO_GET_OBJECT_PROPERTY 14:29:24.681 [8232.8196] <2> onlfi_vfms_logf: INF - vmwareLogger: RetrieveHostsComputeResourceContents: SYM_VMC_ERROR: FAILED_TO_GET_OBJECT_PROPERTY 14:29:24.681 [8232.8196] <2> onlfi_vfms_logf: INF - vmwareLogger: RetrieveHostFolderContents: SYM_VMC_ERROR: FAILED_TO_GET_OBJECT_PROPERTY 14:29:24.681 [8232.8196] <2> onlfi_vfms_logf: INF - vmwareLogger: RetrieveHostDatacenterContents: SYM_VMC_ERROR: FAILED_TO_GET_OBJECT_PROPERTY 14:29:24.681 [8232.8196] <2> onlfi_vfms_logf: INF - vmwareLogger: BuildHostsAndClustersView: SYM_VMC_ERROR: FAILED_TO_GET_OBJECT_PROPERTY 14:29:24.681 [8232.8196] <2> onlfi_vfms_logf: INF - vmwareLogger: RetrieveDcMorAndObjMorFromPath: SYM_VMC_ERROR: FAILED_TO_GET_DSHM_PROPERTIES 14:29:24.681 [8232.8196] <2> onlfi_vfms_logf: INF - vmwareLogger: GetObjDetails: SYM_VMC_ERROR: FAILED_TO_GET_DSHM_PROPERTIES 14:29:24.697 [8232.8196] <2> onlfi_vfms_logf: INF - find_vm_by_ip: vmcGetObjDetails failed with status 48 14:29:26.697 [8232.8196] <4> delete_mount_point: INF - Deleted mount point D:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\temp\_vrts_frzn_img_ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES_8232 14:29:26.697 [8232.8196] <32> onlfi_freeze_fim_fs: FTL - VfMS error 11; see following messages: 14:29:26.697 [8232.8196] <32> onlfi_freeze_fim_fs: FTL - Fatal method error was reported 14:29:26.697 [8232.8196] <32> onlfi_freeze_fim_fs: FTL - vfm_freeze: method: VMware, type: FIM, function: VMware_freeze 14:29:26.697 [8232.8196] <32> onlfi_freeze_fim_fs: FTL - VfMS method error 7; see following message: 14:29:26.697 [8232.8196] <32> onlfi_freeze_fim_fs: FTL - VMware_freeze: VIXAPI freeze failed unknown client xxx.xxx.com Thanks and Regards, Leo

Hi MKT

Thanks for the reply. The problem has been resolved with help from Symantec support, by removing the disconnected esx server, the VMs can be backed up now.

It will be great if the error message can be searched on Internet.

Thanks and Regards,

Leo
