Datastores get zoned to the Appliance, not VM's UUID.

You also need to do LUN assignment in array management software.

Can you see the datastore disk(s) on the appliance ?

Know that on media servers, you often have to rescan for disks after the zoning has been done.

You write UUID, but zoning in fabrics/disk systems is usually done on WWN's, so there might be a mismatch there.
