eject tapes non-interactively in 6.0

I'm running 6.0MP4 and would like to know if there is a way to eject tapes non-interactively. I already know the syntax for vmchange, but the VERY annoying when using this command is driving me nuts!

I have seen other threads that discuss the -sec option but I have not been able to use that with any success in 6.0.

thanks!

Hello Derek,

What kind of library do you have?
Have you considered using vlteject?
vlteject - Eject media and/or generate reports for previously run sessions

There is a -auto flag

-auto y|n
Specifies automatic (y) or interactive mode (n). In automatic mode (y), vlteject runs without input from the user and does not display output. In interactive mode (n, the default), vlteject runs interactively, accepting input and displaying output.Message was edited by:

Hi Bob,

long time no talk, I hope all is well!

Looks like I'm going to have to make my script a little more robust. I hadn't considered vlteject, but that could be an option, otherwise I will have to make vmchange work.

Our library is a HP ESL322e
