We Netbackup 7.0.1 on Linux.

The STU (STU are DataDomain) have max. 90 Job. But the most of the Jobs are in Queue.

Active only 20.

On DataDomain i can see no fault.

Have someone any Ideas?

Tom

You need check if a limit has been set for the DD disk pool in Netbackup

GUI -> Media and device manager -> Disk Pool - Select Pool - Right Click - Change -> Check if a limit has been set per pool.

Hi Tom ,

As i see your STU Maximum Concurrent Writes Drives setting is max 20 Number.

Change this settign as you per your enviroment for a perticular STU.

Note :- the setting limit is upto 256.

Thanks

Bharat

  • Max job per policy = 99
  • Max job per client = 20
  • Max job per storage unit 90
  • mpx =1
  • we about 1300 Client on 2 Location with 1 Master.
  • I think the problem are the SLP.

It looks like NetBackup hangs. The Master is not very busy. I think some Process hang's, but in the Log's you see nothing.

    You were right Nicolai

We change the Disk Pool from 90 to 180.

    Now Netbackup works fine

    Thanks
