Add two schedules in the policy - one for Full and one for Incremental.
For Incremental, choose between Cummulative Incr and Differential Incr.
Choose a retention level for each schedule and specify when each schedule must run.

See Adding or changing schedules in a policy in Chapter 16 of NBU Admin Guide I

Full and Incrmental bakup type are defined in the policy Schedule.

when you create a new policy, you will have the tab called Schedules

that is the place where you need to create the scheduls for FUll and Incrmental backups

for more details refer the admin guide page number 608
