specs for a 64 bit system

My company is looking at purchasing a 64 bit processor so I can replace our old 32 bit windows2000 backup server.   I plan to install the 64 bit server with Windows2003 and  Netbackup6.5.   Are there any minimum hardware configuration to consider and if so, where can they be found?
