I'm installing NBU 6.5.2a on a Windows 2003 SP2, 32bit and am having trouble setting the login parameters for the NBU for MSSQL Agent. When I click Start->Programs->Netbackup->Netbackup Agents->Netback for MSSQL it brings up the screen ok, however the boxes for SQL Server Version, Security, and Host type all say 'unknown'. We tried entering the user id 'sa' and password accordingly, leaving Instance set to 'Default', but it continually fails stating "Application connection failed for <hostname>; please select a different SQL server host and instance , or click cancel..." I'm assuming there is something in the configuration we are missing.
Anyone seen this configuring NBU for MSSQL or have any tips?
