If your Java worked before the replacment of the physical memory, and your server shows that you have the same amount or greater physical memory installed on the server, then it should work.
Are you running the Java console from UNIX and exporting your display back to your Windows desktop (this one uses memory from your Master server)
OR
are you running the java console from your desktop and then connecting to your master server. (this one uses memory from your desktop)
