vstorage backup will status code 11 system call failed

Current setup

netbackup 7.01 x 4 media server

Vpshere 4.0 x 10

1 x library with 4 x LTO4 drives

Backup to LTO 4 tape drives intermittent failed with status code 11 during the first attempt but completed with status code 0 during the second attempt.

I found that i will only happen on VM that having a huge data size more than > 800Gb data.

any guy having this issue ?

How are you backking up these VM's? Using the vStorage option or traditional clients?

And if so, what transport type are you using SAN or NBD?

It doesn't ring a bell with me that it would cause a problem. But a bit more detailed description would be nice. If you are using network transport (either traditional or vStorage) often there can be random errors when using NIC teaming or other options on the cards.

Really depends on the OS of the media servers, drivers and what cards you are using with what options.

What gets logged in the detailed tab for the jobs that failed?

All VM machine backup is via SAN and this VM that causing the system call 11 is very huge about 1.4 TB in data size.
