where can I get the install for the client support kit available for v7.1.0.4

I've been told that there is a client support kit (7.1.0.4) available that will support windows 2012. Does anyone know how to get this download?

I think you mean the special 7.1.0.4 client that supports certain functionality of 2012 backups

For that you need to apply via symbeta:

I have a windows 2012 server and I cant 7.1 or 7.5 to install. I searched the forum  and saw that There is a 7.1.0.4 full install for windows clients but you will get very limited backup/restore functionality.  This package is mentioned to be only available direct from Symantec.

As i said above you need the special version which is only available if you register with Symbeta - only they supply it

Otheriwse you will need to wait a little while (rumors say 24th of this month but who knows!!) for 7.5.0.6

My colleague logged a Support call and was given a download link for W2012 client software.

Good stuff - that is the only way to get it - but maybe 7.5.0.6 will be here by the time you get accepted anyway which will solve your problem!

Dont forget once your problem is solved to use the "Mark as solution" option to close the thread off and assist others in the future searching for a similar answer
