where to find NBLU_7.x.x.x.UNIX_1of3.zip files?

NBU 7.6.0.3, Windows 2008 R2 and Solaris 10 clients

i'm following this link to configure my LiveUpdate server http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH211022 and i got stuck in step 2.3, where it says to extract the contents of some NBLU_7.x.x.x.UNIX_1ofx files.

the only place where i can found NBLU files are in https://fileconnect.symantec.com and i have already downloaded them (2 of them). when expanded, it doesn't contain the files for the Solaris clients (there are 3 files in tar format that needs to be "cat" together to a single file).

appreciate help on where to find the missing files for Solaris SPARC clients.

Is this the link you are looking for ?

Release Update NBLU_7.6.0.3.UNIX_xof5.zip provides updates and fixes for Symantec NetBackup (tm) Server / Enterprise Server 7.6[.0.1] via Live Update. These packages contain all server, client, option packages for all UNIX platforms.

well partly. this is for 7.6 to 7.6.0.3 updates. thanks.

however, i still have 7.5 clients that needs to upgrade to 7.6.0.1 first. including Solaris SPARC clients. those files i'm still looking for.

and i'm confused. the documentation states to get those files from fileconnect yet the link you provided isn't from fileconnect.

and the files i did got from fileconnect contains strange filenames too.

..or is the document I'm following at http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH211022 is erroneous at step 2.3?

If you click on the 'Products' link on TECH211022, you will see that it was written for NBU 7.0.

Things change between versions... especially the download filenames. Go through the NBU 7.6 LU manual and the README.txt files in each of those downloads for NBU7.6-specific info.

In NBU 7.0 there were 3 Unix/Linux client downloads that had to be joined.

In 7.6, there are individual downloads for the different Unix/Linux versions.

Solaris Client software is in this one (shared previously if memory serves me right...):

NetBackup Unix Clients 1
AIX, FreeBSD, HP paRisc & IA64, Mac, Solaris Sparc & X86
 NetBackup_7.6.0.1_CLIENTS1.tar.gz
 [ MD5: c6dfaf03f5847ecd39598f14118563bf  ]

So, you need to adapt step 2.3 with the relevant version info...
