Difference in usable disk size of a volume in versions 4.0 and 5.0.

When I create a volume using vxassist command in Veritas Volume manager version 4.0 the usable disk space is much more, whereas when I create the same using Veritas Volume manager 5.0 its preety less.

Will be greatful if anybody provides any reasons for this or any workarounds.

How much difference you are seeing ??

In SF 5.0, since many new features & scalability of product was increased, the private region length was increased to a higher value as compared to SF 4.0. 

Since bigger private region is occupied, less space should be there for public region...
