I am using Veritas Storage Foundation 5 and I am wondering how I to configure it, for high read IOPS. I was going to configure 8 raid groups in a RAID1+0 configuration and then 8 LUNS one for each raid group. How many columns should I configure the stripe at the software level with? Should I configure Storage Foundation with 8 columns per stripe or with 2 or 4? Are more columns per stripe better? When the Veritas documentations talks of columns I'm assuming they mean LUNS?
