error while installing SE: 1092 can't start QAFilter

Hi all!
While installing symantec storage exec, facing the error
 
Error 1920.Service QaFilter (QaFilter) failed to start.
 
at the same time in system events journal  another error is logged:
 
The QaFilter service depends on the following nonexistent service: FltMgr
 
How can i resolve that problem?
 
server: win2k3 enterprise, sp1, domain controller, logged in with "domain admin" rights

I would try to log onto the local console and use the local admin for the installation

Hi,
 
Because windows 2003 has its own allocation system (which is a oem of a previous version of storage exec called storage central) there is a clash in the filter drivers. You will need to first desable the filter drives in the device manager by selecting hidden devices. Once this is disabled reinstall storage exec and all should be fine.
