I'm running BESR 2010 on a Windows 2010 Server and am attempting to connect to a Windows 2003 Server on which the agent is installed.
I have no problems deploying the agent to the Win 2003 server and initiating a remote restart. However once the 2003 server comes back up, I cannot connect and get the error message: "ESR 2010 - Program is unable to connect and communicate with Backup Exec System Recovery Service"
Firewall is turned off on both computers for troubleshooting purposes and still doesnt' work. Any ideas?

@Jobachi: what is Windows 2010 Server ;-o) ? I'm confused as well.

Thanks for the help. I enabled the ports, but still won't connect, any other ideas?

does anybody find a solution?
i am having the same troubles with SSR 2011
Ports are in the excution list of the windows firewall -
I checked the Symantec Article: TECH55824 - Troubleshooting Communication Issues With Backup Exec System Recovery (BESR)
and excluded VPROSVC.exe and VproTray.exe at the firewall
but nothing worked.
