BESR 2010 backing up System Volume Information

I have a client that is using BESR 2010 on Server 2008 standard.  I thought the System Volume Information folder was automatically skipped by BESR because it is shadow copy and recovery point storage but it seems to be backing it up.  The backup size is larger than just the data folders and if I mount a backup I can browse the System Volume Information folder and see the files.  It is over 90 GB and is taking up a good amount of backup drive space.  Please let me know if this is by design or if there is a way to exclude it.

If you use a drive based backup job it is a all or nothing decision: All data on the drive or nothing. If you don't need the desaster recovery ability, you could consider using the file and folder backup feature of SSR.
