Hey can anyone confrim that BESR's backup feature for Files and Folders doesn't copy empty folders? From what I gather, it desn't. i did a test backup, used that search function under Recovery My Files and it didn't find a folder I had crated that had been emtpy, but it did find files I specifiied so I know the backup did complete and what not.
I didn't see anythign in documentation at least in the Protect Help portion of Help.
And if it doesn't, is there a setting (hidden?) that tells it to backup empty folders?
And on a side note, does anyone know why backup software often doesn't su[port empty folder copy? I've seen this in more than one product now and wonder why it's so hard for developers to just do it. If I have an empty folder somewhere, it's probably for a reason. Maybe it's just a thing with the file system tables or something but if so, why not backup the file system table too and use it to reference files in the backup set. *shrug*.
