BESR 8.0.1 Installation detects newer version prevents install

I am getting an error "Install had detected a newer version of this technology. To install Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery, Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery 8.0.1.24976 must first be removed through Add/Remove Programs."  This was done but I continue to get the error message. The BESR Service still shows up in the Service Control manager also.

Run the following uninstall.bat found in this technote document, make sure to reboot after it completes.

If BESR still exist in add/remove after running the above script, you can use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to remove this entry.
