HP NC 7781 driver

System recovery will not load the NC 7781 driver for my DL380 G3. The disk recovery wizard told me no drivers were needed. So I hosed the test box then rebooted the machine and the disk will not start the NIC with the correct driver. It is loading a broadcom driver but I know it is a HP 7781.

I tried to load the Win32 driver (using the load driver utility.) and no luck. I tired to manually assign an IP with no luck. I have tried to use the DOS driver. Any other suggestions? I am new to the product so please let me know if there are any utilities I am missing.

Andy,

Go into Device Manager and Uninstall the Broadcom card.

Then do a hardware scan and see if it will pick up your proper NIC.

Was told that they do not support the NIC. They are using the Vista PE. Why? It is not a server operating system. Watch out for your older servers.....
