BESR 6.52 Desktop Edition Restore Anyware failure:

1) can't access network resources (though the network card is supported)
2) had to do a windows install 3 times to get images from the network to a local partition
3) the first 2 recovery attempts failed
4) the third recovery attempt said it passed but then comes the BSOD
5) everything I search & find has nothing to do with v.6.5x
 a) everything I search & find has nothing to do with Desktop Environments but Servers I don't have a Server
6) the drivers needed are on the Win2k CD I have, but restore won't locate them
7) now what?  I've burned more than 20 hours on this

INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE BSOD on different or same hardware:

win2k freaks out when being restored to an already in use or used HDD:

the only 2 things I found that worked was
After the restore:
-> start the system with the SRD and delete / clean the boot executive registry entry

Before the restore:
-> use a new never used disk;
or
-> do a full security erase on the disk to make the disk appear as new never used.
then do the restore.
