Login Problems for BESRM v8

Nsanderson
Level 2

I have a freshly installed Backup Exec System Recovery Manager 8 installed on a Windows Server 2003 machine.

Whenever I try to login I recieve the following message :

Could not log on with supplied host name, user ID and password. Cannot get database connection. JZ00L: Login failed. Examine the SQLWarnings chainged to this exception for the reason(s).

I have found the articel indicating that this can be caused by special characters in the password. My password does not contain any.

Also When I login I can see the tomact5.exe process chewing up processor time so I know it's responding to the request.

Please Advise.

Thanks!

Here is the error for reference:

I resolved this problem on my own. I was caused by an installation of GhostCast running on the server. Once that was removed it started functioning properly.
