Hi There,

we are using ssr ms 2011 and its installed on windows 2008 R2 x64. we were create an backup policy from the management solution server and tried to assign clients to this policy. but we wrongly added all clients to this policy. after that normally the policy schedule assigned all clients. After that we disabled this schedule but we are unable to remove this wrong policy from the all clients.

Are there anyone know how to remove wrong policy from the all clients from the management solution ?

have you tried stopping the ssr service, removing the *.pqj file in %allusersprofile%\Application Data\symantec\symantec system recovery\schedule and then starting the ssr service again ?

I think you need to remove the clients under targets within the policy.

If you have disabled the policy, you just need to wait for the client machines to poll the SSR-MS server (by default, this is 1 hour). Once they poll, they will get all updates available and the policy should be removed from the client machines.

we disabled policy but still the policy seems on the client. when l opened the symantec system recovery console on the client and than l client run or manage backup l see the policy already been there ,

l opened case to the symantec and the technician manually remove policy from the client,

but ln our environment this wrong policy applied all clients thats why we need to connect all clients and remove manually. but there must be an easy way to do it.

l asked it to the engineer, he is research the easy way now.

You should NOT have to remove the policies from the clients manually.

Are the clients communicating (via the SMA - Symantec Management Agent) with the management solution server?

using this steps problem resolved ;

1- symantec management agent service stop
