RestoredAnywere finished, boot gets stuck on

I'm able to restore to a virtual machine (s/w is microsoft virtual pc) with the restore anywhere option.

The resultant (virtual) machine does not boot.

If I select safe mode, I see all the text scroll by and then it gets stuck on acpitabl.dat.

Any ideas?

My guess is that the orginal machine you made the backup from is using a RAID array and your Virtual Machine is now hanging up when it tries to load the RAID drivers.

What occurs on reboot, is it a blinking cursor, a boot loop or a BSOD? Most likely if it is a bootloop you are getting a BSOD. You will need to disable reboot on failure to see what the BSOD is.
