Upgraging from BESR 7.0 to 8.0

    Can anyone tell me what the best procedure is for Upgrading from BESR 7 to BESR 8? Is it best to uninstall 7 from server and uninstall agents then do a fresh install of 8? Or is it okay to just upgrade over 7?

I started by using the upgrade method... I quickly determined uninstalling v7 and installing v8 was the better approach for me.  It only takes one whacked mess during an upgrade to ruin your day... ask me how I know.

Becuase of the difference between the two builds and installer engines, best practice would be to upgrade from Backup Exec System Recovery 7 to Backup Exec System Recovery 8 is to uninstall Backup Exec System Recover 7 completely, rebooting, and then installing Backup Exec System Recover 8.
