We virtualized a Server from a Backup Exec 7 image created by VMWare Converter.
ESX4.0 Host ... The Physical Server had Windows 2003 and BESR 7.04 installed.
The VM Server obviously had Windows 2003 and BESR 7.04 installed.
I ran a Backup on the Virtual Server with BESR and it completed fine. (NO errors)
When I go and try to restore image to another Host to test the Backup . I get invalid
server cann't restore... I tried the BESR 7 and 8 recovery disks and I tried with VMware
Converter.. No success.... We really like Backup Exec, Saved my butt many times ..
Would like to continue to use it to backup the Virtual servers just like the Physical
servers..
