Jaydeep, I did some research

Jaydeep,

I did some research and opened a support case and according to Symantec SDR is not recommended for BE 3600 Appliance due to its configuration, complexity and data size – dedupe folder can accommodate about 5TBs of data.

This is a bit complicated

This is a bit complicated process, as SDR recovery is only possible from disk based or tape based backups. You cannot perform SDR restore from backup sets from a deduplication folder. Typically assuming backups on an Appliance would be targeted to a Deduplication device. This has been mentioned in

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/resources/sites/BUSINESS/content/live/DOCUMENTATION/5000/DOC5215/en_US/readme_en.html

So for this to work, you need to either perform local backups of an appliance to a normal Backup to disk folder or add stage in your main job (to dedup) and duplicate the backup to a Tape or Backup to disk folder.. Once this is done, then the restore is fairly straight forward
