12.5 RAWS not compatible with BEWS 12.0?

Last week I installed a separate copy of BEWS 12.5 and rolled out a 12.5 RAWS to a virtual machine to test the new Virtual agent and VCB functionality.

All has gone well with our test environment so far, but I noticed that the production BEWS 12.0 copy failed to backup the virtual box that had the 12.5 agent installed. I tried to connect to it via the BEWS 12.0 selection list, but network communication now fails.

Am I right therefore to assume that 12.5 remote agents are not backwards compatible with Backup Exec 12.0?

That is correct.  A 12.5 Media server can protect a 12.0 remote agent, but a 12.0 Media Server can not protect a 12.5 remote agent.
