I have a 2008 server running Backup Exec 2008. The company now wants to install SQL 2008 server to run a special application Are there any issues installing SQL 2008 after backup exec 12.5?
I am not sure if backup exec database is installed on SQL Express or Full fledged SQL server now .
But , Ideally speaking you should not have any issues upgrading to SQL 2008 if you are running BE 12.5 .
Thanks for the information. Backup Exec is currently using the SQL Express database. Are there any issues I should be concerned with with the install of a full flege copy of SQL 2008?
Thank you Zaki.
I was viewing the PDF at ftp://exftpp.symantec.com/pub/support/products/Backup_Exec_for_WindowsNT/308993.pdf which is the Installation Guide and it claims SQL 2008 is not supported. Where can we find documentation that specifies SQL 2008 as supported?
