Application popup: BkupExec.exe - Application Error

Hallo,

I get this error massage when I run the the Application from the Destop Icon,

Application popup: BkupExec.exe - Application Error : The application failed to initialize properly
(0xc000007b). Click on OK to terminate the application.

Symantec Backup Exec 12 for Windows Servers : Application
Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition.
No other 3 hand programs
Only SQL 

is their any solution to this with our re-installing the Program?

Hello,

1. Are you facing this issue for the 1st time?
2. Is it a new install?
3. Right click the desktop shortcut and go to properties...click on find target and try to run the .EXE file...

Hi,

It's the first time that it does it, and the program was installed last year and works fine,
Did di the Find target to run the EXE still giving taht problem.
Would love to give more info, but tahtis all i get from Event Viewer.

Hello,

1. Try to run the file bkupexec.exe form C:\program files\symantec\backup exec directory......
(I am assuming that BE is installed on the default location)

2. Run a repair install of .NET Framework as the BE interface works on .NET Framework.
3. Please attach the Application Event file.....(.EVT)

Have to get the .NetFramework 3.5 SP1 to do the repair. still downloading

The .EVT file after running bkupexec.exe, i have added the screen shot of that since adding a file gives me error.

Did the update for  .netframework 3.5 sp1 but still giving me the problem.
Doing whole update for windows. to get the updated for framework 3.5 Sp1

otherwise what else can i do to resolve this.
