If you are referring to "Archiving" in the true sense, then have a look at the Archiving Option, however that is available only with BE 2012 onwards.

Using BE 2010 R3, you can "backup" data but not "archive". Archiving option is available with a newer version of BE or else, you can look @ the Enterprise Vault product family for archiving.
