Automatische Suche nach Ressourcen deaktivieren (BE 2014, Win 2012 R2 x64)

Hallo Allerseits,

ich habe ein nerviges Problem, dass ich gerne beseitigen möchte. Ich hoffe, dass mir jemand von Euch helfen kann :)

Installiert ist Backup Exec 14.1 Rev. 1786 (64 Bit) auf einem Windows 2012 R2 Server. Gesichert werden nur Daten die auf diesem Server gespeichert sind.

Es erfolgt an den Tagen Montag bis Freitag eine Gesamtsicherung auf via USB angeschlossene Festplatten.

Beim anstecken der Festplatten erhalten diese entweder den Laufwerksbuchstaben H:. G:, oder was sonst als nächstes Frei ist.

Problem:

Backup Exec sucht vor jedem Backup scheinbar nach neuen Ressourcen und sichert diese ohne Rückmeldung einfach mit. Ich habe auch bisher keine Einstellung gefunden, die explizit sagt: "Automatische Suche nach Backup-Ressourcen deaktivieren" oder ähnliches.

Frage:

Wie kann ich der Software nun begreiflich machen, dass diese wirklich nur C:, D:, Systemstatus und EFI-Systempartion sichert?

This happens when you select the entire server. You can either 1) Deselect the server and them just select the resources that you want, I.e. C: drive, etc., or 2) Set the registry setting at the bottom of this document so that the .bkf files are not backed up. http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO98839 Note that with option 1, you would not be able to do SDR restore with your backup sets and you have to manually add any new resource that you want to back up

You can first deselect the entire server and then explicity place a check mark only on C:\, D:\, System State. However, SDR may be disabled in this case.

Other option would be to manually add an exclusion to the backup job and exclude other drives such as H:\, G:\

Lastly, set this registry key as well -

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Symantec\Backup Exec For Windows\Backup Exec\Engine\Backup

Set the value Disable Backup of Disk Storage Devices to 1 and restart all BE services.
