BE 2010 to BE 2014

Same situation here (BE 2010 SP4 on WS 2008 R2).  I would like to upgrade our media server to WS 2012 R2 before installing BE 2014 though.  Is there a way to do a clean installation of the OS and BE 2014, then import the catalogs and an existing Dedupe folder from BE 2010?

You cannot upgrade your OS to Server 2012 R2 first because BE 2012 does not support Server 2012 R2 as a media server.

With regards to a fresh install of BE 2014, I don't know if it is possible to connect a BE 2012 dedup folder to BE 2014 because, the dedup folder may need to be upgraded from BE 2012 to BE 2014.

The safest route for you would be to upgrade your BE 2012 to BE 2014 and then upgrade your OS.  BE would not have any impact on your OS upgrade.
