BE12 encryption restoring data

Hi,

If we use hardware encryption (We have LTO4 drives) and use Common mode for the keys, are we able to take a tape and restore it using any LTO4 drive?

Just a concern regarding DR and if we need to restore data onto a temp server using a different drive are we able to.

   You still need to have the passphrase to restore the data anywhere .
