Hi Forumers,

I created a media set 3 Years Media Set (3 years retention) using stand alone tape drive. After the first successfull backup (full) written to the tape media the second backup that supposedly run and write also to the same media however it is prompting that the media is not overwritable.

Does this mean that everytime the backup run it will ask you to overwrite the tape media?

How can I configure the overwrite options using the same tape media?

How to schedule backup jobs using the same media without asking overwrite the tape media?

thanks...

If you want to append to the tape, you must

1) set the AP of the targeted media set long enough that you can append to the tape.

2) specify in your job properties, "append, otherwise overwrite"
