Back Up Success but Data Processed doesn't match Data Size ?

I'm probably missing something real simple on this one...

Ran a back up to tape job for SAN1 (EMC VNXe) with NDMP, all good and sucessful with 4.3Tb data spanned across three tapes

Perform a redirected restore to SAN2, with 'Overwrite exisitng files' enabled for a folder within the tree which is around 1.4Tb. Restore job shows as successful but data processed is only around 800Gb
