I have just implemented BES 12.5 on our system, all works ok except when we try and run backup of Exchange.
The error message is below:
Exchange -- The job failed with the following error: A failure occurred querying the Writer status
Having gone through Symantec's website i can confirm that there are no additional backups running on the Exchange server itself and no scheduled tasks.
BackupExec is installed on a Windows 2000server and therefore does not have the Exchange Management Tools installed, i am not sure if this is the reason or not.
Hopefully somenody can shed some light on the problem.
