Backup Exec 10d and 12 connecting to the same tape device

Does anyone know if you can connect a server with 1d and a server with 12 to a SAN switch.  then connect your backup device (overland storage unit) to the SAN switch.  What I want is to share the backup device across the SAN to these 2 servers.  Does anyone think I am going to run into some issues if I attempt this, or will it just not work.  Thanks!!!

If you are careful when scheduling things to avoid conflicts, it will might be usable.  I doubt it is a supported system.  I don't know if BE 10d can read BE 12 media.  Why not upgrade the 10d server to 12?
