Backup Exec 11.d Backup Exec service problem

Hi ;

 

My server is Win 2003 R2, Symantec Backup Exec 11.d Rev 7170. My tape Device is IBM TS3200 Tape Library

I got new Backup Cartridge and I tried to "Long Erase" or any "Inventory" I got error message as below

 

"e00081d9 - The Backup Exec job engine system service is not responding."

 

I checked some sites but still I don't have real solution

Any event in windows event viewer?

 I can see just Even Viewer\Application alog

Same error

Event ID 34113

(Job: "Long Erase Library 00013") Long Erase Library 00013 -- The job failed with the following error: The Backup Exec job engine system service is not responding.

I suggest using Quick Erase or Inventory to troubleshoot with.  A Long Erase will take about 2 hours, although it certainly should be error free.

How quickly does your Inventory job fail?  Can you inventory a single slot?  Can you run backups?

I already did  Quick Erase I got same Error

I will try Kiran suggestion  tonight

 

After tomorrow I will tell result

I tried to install Patch whic you sent me a link but Unfornately it was for Backup Exec 12. and it did not working

I'm still searching about it

In the same tech note, under permanent solution section a hotfix listed for BE 12.5.

@Kiran Bandi - How is he going to use BE12.5 drivers with BE 11d?  Do you even read his original post?  Please do not reply for the sake of replying.
