Recently installed BE 12.5 SBS Suite x64 on SBS 2008 Standard

The main issue is the backup fails with the following error

Now I was under the impression that this product supported all of the installed products with in SBS 2008, hence the name Backup Exec 12.5 for SBS

Thanks

SBS does not support Sharepoint Portal, so only the  SQL Backend can be  backed up via the SQL Agent

See http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/288035.htm

Thanks, but SBS 2003 and 2008 include windows sharepoint services, which is an integrated part of SBS.

I would understand if we had purchased MOSS or the Portal server product, but we have not.

If this is the case, then we will no longer recommend Backup Exec as a backup solution if it cannot backup the integrated Windows Sharepoint Services, of which is used heavily now in SBS 2008, then Symantec should make this clear before people buy the product, it has proved that is it not an all in one SBS suite.

Now that's an interesting document.  I will need to verify this one.
