Backup Exec 12.5 on SBS 2003 - Access denied during credential Test

Hi,

I've created a backup-to-disk backup of some folders on my Primary DC. I have a 2nd DC which is my test server and I want to do a test restore of the backup I created.

However when I try and test the credentials on my test DC I get access denied. I use the Administrator Account.

Can anyone suggest where I'm going wrong?

Hi,

Try to write on tout 2nd server with the account that you want use.

Open a remote session with this account.

Try to do a simple copy files between this 2 servers

Thank you for your response.

I should clarify that there is no link between the servers. I backed up the PDC to a external hard drive then connected that external hard drive to the backup DC and tried the restore from the hard drive to the backup DC.

Hi,

You must catalog backup files before restore.
The DC are in the same domain, or 2 different domains ?
