Backup Exec 15 - BUE Admin Console Administrator Access

Hello,

Currently, from what I can find, any user who is a local administrator on the Backup Exec server can open the BUE admin console.

Is there any way to assign administrators to the BUE admin console in Backup Exec 15 (similar to how administrators are assinged in Enterprise Vault or Symantec Endpoint Protection)? If so, is there any way to create limited or full administrators?

BE does not support role-based administrators, so you cannot use a local admin to access the console.  You need to be a domain admin to access the console.

...this has been requested ad nauseum over the past couple of years. I remember seeing a comment by an employee saying it was under review and that was around the time BE 2012 was about to be released...2 versions later and still nothing.

It would make sense, but then again you could just remove the Domain Admins group from the media server's local admins group and only assign the accounts required to be on it.
