Media server dedupe only.  No Client side dedupe.

NetBackup on the other hand does offer better Enterprise Support.

Keep in mind, there are no Application streamers for Oracle, so your dedupe ratio could be sporadic or completely unacceptable until Symantec makes their product work correctly.

Do you mean that the level of reduction of information deduplication are low? , But what happens if you use deduplication OST Devices improvement?

If you are using Oracle 11g R2, then your question is moot because it is not supported under Linux.  See the SCL below

Typically yes, something like a DataDomain is faster and dedupe's better in almost all aspects over BackupExec's single threaded dedupe engine.  If only more was done for BE's potential performance with today's hardware...
