Backup Exec 2012 - Adding servers to backup list

Hi All,

I'm having problem in adding a server to my backup list. I have installed the backup exec agent via backup exec console and changed the backup exec deault port(10000) to a other. Because port 10000 is already using by another application. But this server is not showd up in the backup list. Please help me to overcome this probmlem.

When you change the port, you need to change it globally within your backup environment. Check the TN below which backs that up:

Hi Craig,

You are correct for the Backup Exec 10 and earlier versions. But as I know laste editions of backup exec do not need to change the port globally.

...I suggest you check the Product(s) link again where BE 2012 is listed. So the answer stands...you need to change this on the media server and every remote server. Not just on 1 remote server.
