Hi,

A new feature in BE2012 for disaster recovery that allows to take a snapshot of the Operating systems and supports "Restore Anywhere" option.

So what is the difference now between using this feature and using the system recovery  software.

thanks

It is still the difference between a filelevel backup and restore and the block/image level backup and restore.

In theory SSR/BESR will probably be quicker for a DR restore, but BE gives more options in other areas of the product.

BE will do the file level backup and system recovery the block level?

we can say also that BE supports  a tape backup while system recovery can be taken only on disk?

Right?
