Hi,

I've created a disk pool using five disk of 1 TB. I've set up a backup to disk a Vmware ESX 5 for backing up 20 virtual machines, but during the backup one disk of the pool get low space and I expected the the job continue using the other disks of the pool, insted I get an error message telling me to insert a disk with free space. I am using the disk pool non properly?

GRT enabled backups (those that create IMG folders inside the Backup to disk device) cannot flow from one device to another in the middle of a backup job. This is because we have to be able to directly mount the resulting image file (vmdk, exchange db etc) directly from the source to do GRT restores and can't do that if parts of the backup data are in two different paths.

As far as I know, Non GRT backups (those that use bkf files) should be able to flow/span across devices.
