Backup Exec Security Patch Hotfix 24 Error

I have attempted to install the security patch be5484RHF24_275514.exe, Hotfix 24, on a Win 2003 server running VERITAS Backup Exec 10.0 rev. 5484 for Windows Servers with little joy. I recieve the following error message.

The following patches need to be installed before this patch can successfully continue.
{90BBDB2C-A880-425A-B54F-DA7DF734F3D9}

Then the installation ends.

Does anyone nknow what this patch is?

Hi,

Hofix 24 needs Service Pack 1 of Backup Exec 10.0 to be installed on the system first.

Could you please check whether Service Pack 1 is already installed on the system.

This can be checked by clicking on the "Installed Updates" in "Veritas Update"...

The service pack would not install either, turns out you need to run the 'Serial Numbers and Installation wizard' without making any changes before installing any patches, seems crazy to me. Info gained from the thread below.
