Backup Exec shows node but does not list contents

Hello, I installed the remote agent on a Macintosh system (snow leopard), and that agent/node shows up in backup exec but when trying to expand it to choose what to back up on that remote node it is empty.  Can anyone give me a direction to go in to troubleshoot this problem.  It used to show the contents of the mac but it doesn't anymore and I can't pinpoint any changes to the server.  I did try reinstalling installrams but I still have the same problem.

You have to try basic troubleshooting:

Try to ping the MAC from BE and BE from MAC.

Try to make sure you are typing the correct password to connect to MAC

Try to disable the firewall on the MAC and check if you are able to connect.

Make sure ram service is started on the MAC.

If you still have issue then you might need to put it in debug mode.

Thank you for your suggestions.  How do I check the ram service on the mac?

Stop BE remote: /etc/init.d/VRTSralus.init stop

then start BE remote: /etc/init.d/VRTSralus.init start

and see whether there are any error messages.
