Backup Failing

Hi All,
I hope someone can throw some light on this problem.
We are using the demo version of backup exec on a win2k3 sbs server.
We run a nightly backup to usb hard drives (1 for each day of the week) and have been running the built in ntbackup without any problems until now.
Backup exec fails with the following error:

Backup- NSSERVER\SHAREPOINT

AOFO: Initialization failure on: "Microsoft Information Store". Advanced Open File Option used: Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS).
Snapshot provider error (0xE00084AF): The directory or file was not found, or could not be accessed.
Check the Windows Event Viewer for details.

The Backup log shows:

AOFO: Initialization failure on: "Microsoft Information Store". Advanced Open File Option used: Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS).
Snapshot provider error (0xE00084AF): The directory or file was not found, or could not be accessed.

Check the Windows Event Viewer for details.
Note: Backup Exec did not perform a snapshot of all volumes simultaneously because the option 'Process logical volumes for backup one at a time' was selected as a backup job property.

I've tried the solutions suggested in the knowledge base without any joy.
Can enyone suggest anything that may help
Cheers
John

hi,

The Advanced Open File Option should not be used for backup of databases.

Please deactivate the option and verify the results

What is the intended use of the Open File Option and the Advanced Open File Option?
