Scheduled Backup doesn't finish

The problem started when Veritas couldn't connect to the Media Server anymore so I had to unistall and install it again. However, I wasn't able to uninstall it automatically with Windows Uninstaller and had to uninstall it manually with deleting files registry entries, etc. After that I could install it again.

Now I have to scheduled a daily backup running at 11 pm every working day. When I look in the log the next day the job is still running and it keeps running for ever. 140 hours or more and it doesn't ever finish. The data to backup is only about 35GB. I tried to auto eject the tape after backup, not eject after backup, etc. nothing seems to work that the backup finishes.

Any idea what could cause this and how can I solve it.
